Cross Columns

Material: Cross columns are typically made from carbon steel, alloy steel, or stainless steel. Common materials include Q235 and Q345.
Application Fields: Cross columns are widely used in building structures, bridge construction, industrial plants, warehouses, and sports venues. Their design allows for superior seismic resistance and load-bearing capacity, making them suitable for structures that require high stability and load-bearing demands.

Cross columns are steel columns with a cross-shaped cross-section, primarily manufactured through hot rolling, cold drawing, or welding processes. Their unique cross-sectional design provides excellent stability and strength when subjected to axial loads. The design of cross columns can be adjusted according to the actual needs of the project to accommodate different loads and structural requirements.

Section Dimensions: The flange width and thickness, as well as the web thickness of cross columns, can be customized according to design requirements. Common flange dimensions range from 100 mm to 300 mm, and web thickness ranges from 10 mm to 30 mm.
Tensile Strength: Typically between 250-500 MPa (varies by material).
Yield Strength: Generally between 235-355 MPa (varies by material).
Stability: The design of cross columns provides excellent lateral stability and resistance to bending, making them suitable for structures with large spans and high load requirements.
Section Modulus: Different section moduli can be provided based on the dimensions and design of the cross columns to meet various structural requirements.
Maximum Load Capacity: During the design process, the load capacity can be calculated based on actual needs, including axial loads and moment capacity.
Length: Customized according to engineering requirements, generally ranging from 3 meters to 12 meters, with longer cross columns manufactured as needed in special cases.
Surface Treatment: Common surface treatments include hot-dip galvanizing and anti-rust paint to enhance corrosion resistance and extend service life.
